PIERROT TREMBLAY
Mr. Tremblay holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Essex, UK. He holds a Master Degree in Conflict Studies from University of Ottawa in Canada and a Law Degree from Université Laval in Quebec. He also received diplomas from University of Waterloo (Peace Studies) and University of Fribourg (Constitution-making in Federal States). His fields of research include International Human Rights and Public Law, Identity-Based Conflict Management Systems, Human Self-Determination Development and Innovative practices in Education.

Mr. Tremblay is President of the consulting firm Conflict Management & Diplomacy. He has collaborated with various organizations including the Quebec Government, the Forum of Federations, the Carter Center, several Indigenous Peoples and the United Nations. He also worked as a public servant for the Canadian Federal Government. In 2003, his participation in the presidential commission charged with human rights in Guatemala was underlined as an example of Canadian leadership for human security by the Prime Minister of Canada. He currently holds the Canada Research Chair on Legal Diversity and Indigenous Peoples at the University of Ottawa, Canada?
