JUDY ETTINGER  
Judy Ettinger (ABD), holds both a Masters degree and an Honours BA degree in political science. Currently, she is completing a Ph.D. in political science at Carleton University with field concentrations in political theory and international relations. In her Ph.D. dissertation she is considering the challenges of globalization, and the relationship between globalization and democracy. Judy is currently a Policy Analyst, International Relations, for Transport Canada in the Government of Canada.

During her Ph.D. studies Judy spent three years working as a Teaching Assistant for a fourth year course on political theories of modern science, language, and power within the College of Humanities, Carleton University. Her past research work has been in the areas of human rights, human rights and citizenship education, and democratic theory. As well, she assumed research and secretariat responsibility in support of the Standards Council Canada Chair of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) - Technical Management Board (TMB) Ad Hoc Committee on Personal Data protection and Privacy in 1997-98. Judy is an experienced researcher, comprehensive thinker, perceptive reader, and adept organizer. Recently she completed a research consultancy with the Bioethics sector of UNESCO, Paris.
